Lomography and weddings? A match made in heaven!
Recently, one of my best friends got married and he asked me to make a couple of portraits down in a park in downtown Warschau the day after the wedding. I used a couple of camera’s: the Lomo LC-A, Ricoh GR1s and a Canon AE-1, respectively loaded with Fuji T64, Kodak EBX and Kodak Portra 160VC.
I can strongly recommend the Fuji T64 because of the romantic pink and purple colors when cross-processed. And of course the Portra is unbeatable when it comes to natural colors and it manages hard sunlight very well. The Kodak EBX resulted in some really strong contrast because of the strong sun that day, which, to me, doesn’t work that well in this case.
Some extras from the wedding-day itself:
And here are some other pictures I made together with two other photographers on a wedding. Most of the work we did there was digital but on the sideline we made a couple of analogue shots. We connected the Lomo LC-A with a wireless transmitter to two flashes. We should definitely work more with this medium.
