This past Sunday we celebrated the LC-A+’s Birthday with a very special workshop!
We celebrated our old friend the LC-A+ with a few cupcakes and a workshop all about this amazing little camera. The LC-A+ has now turned 27 (though she looks at least 10 years younger in our opinion) and she hasn’t lost a bit of her charm. The LC-A+ is an amazing device that has become the staple for Lomographers everywhere.
Our workshop attendees learned all about the LC-A+’s capabilities including a built-in light meter and ability to make beautiful double exposures. After learning the history of the camera and how it became the star of Lomography the group was ready to head to Madison Square Park and get some hands on training. It was a lovely afternoon and everyone left full of sugar and LC-A+ knowledge!
Last month Lomography UK celebrated 25 years of Lomography by building a great big Lomowall on Ganton St, Soho. We launched this on the same week as the Carnaby St Street party and it grabbed a lot of people's attention.
For this very special LomoWalk we are teaming up with our friends at Strand Books and will take you and your Lomography Simple Use Camera on a beautiful NYC walk that combines photography and literature. Inspiration will be provided by author Eileen Myles.
March is Women's History Month and we want to take a closer look at the wonderful women behind cameras all over the country. In this Interview artist Edie Sunday shares her experience and thoughts about a very problematic world of professional photography.
Lomography Gallery Store Soho is thrilled to announce a new exhibition of stereoscopic prints taken from Brian May's personal archives. You'll get the opportunity to view some exclusive snapshots through the specially made OWL glasses, designed by the man himself.
The TEN AND ONE Residency Week has been very intense and full of activities. From 11 to 18 November, we did LomoWalks around Vienna, guided visits to museums and magazine editorial office, a workshop, a trip to Bratislava, worked on our LomoWall and of course LomoLunch and LomoDinner. We had the opportunity to attend a Cyanotype Workshop at Lomography Head Quarter held by Michael Wuermer, a young and nice photographer and printer.
