As part of the Lomoroadshow that has been touring the UK, I got to spend a day in Manchester with the Lomo Mum’s and some new Lomo friends.
Manchester is one of the biggest cities in the north of England and as a resident of Leeds, I always find it interesting to see how the two cities compare.
As part of the Lomography Lomowalk around the city I saw many parts of the city that I hadn’t truly looked at before and it was fun to look at the city through the eyes of my (borrowed) LC-A.
It was great getting to meet people that I’ve talked to on Twitter and through my blog and also so fun meeting new people as well. I spent most of the time watching other people take photos. I always love watching how others see things and it was great to be walking along and have other people just stop next to me as they caught something that they wanted to photograph.
The LC-A has an understated excellence to it and I can imagine with more use I would learn more about its individual charms and I can start to see why people love this camera so much. This camera is definitely going on my Christmas list (and I’m pretty sure it will be worth the rather hefty price tag too) and it was a perfect companion for my little Manchester Urban Adventure.
