Austin's Nautical Launch

2011-06-13 6

We are launching the newest camera from Lomography on Thurs! We decided to drop anchor on the S. Lamar Pedestrian Bridge and cast our lines out on Lady Bird Lake.

We’re having newest camera unveiling over Lady Bird Lake. Set your sails and weigh anchor. Not only are we unveiling our latest catch, but there’s a fishing costume contest, sea shanties, giveaways, and a chance to play with the newest camera we have spawned.

There couldn’t be more excitement about this new camera. Heck, we’re having a hard time keeping our sea-legs from getting all wobbly. Come on by between 5-7 pm on Thurs to play with us and our new release. The the best fishing costume walks away with one of our newest beauties. – Costume contest ends at 6:30.

Everyone who attends gets to play with the newest edition, earns piggie points, and gets a secret handout.

So bring your sailor hat, tackle boxes, and your favorite cameras. We’ll have a whale of a time!

Gvelasco: It's in the middle of the S. Lamar Pedestrian Bridge. Where the joggers and cyclists cross Lady Bird Lake.

Shoot! I just reread the article and saw that you did post it. I was on the Congress bridge, then I walked over to the 1st Ave. bridge. Didn't see anyone. Oh well. Sorry I missed it. At least I got a lot of good pix.
