A Tribute to the Film Father

The very first time I met him was sometime last year, to borrow a cup of sugar for a Spanish project…

I was introduced to @nigelk over a year ago but actually got to know him early this year. He isn’t my real father of course, but I think it’s fitting that I thank him for all of the things he’s done for me.

Keith is probably one of the most generous people that I know. He’s always willing to let me use film; no matter how expensive, always lets me borrow whichever camera I want to; be it the Diana F+, the Lubitel 166+, or even his beloved LC-A+ RL! He has bags and bags of lenses and accessories for my friend @kayswirl and I to use, basically whenever we want. We barge into his house sometimes to play with his dog, and pester him with questions about ISO and depth of field and how to use funky cameras.

For an adult, he’s a really fun person to be with. He’ll always offer to drive @kayswirl and I around the island to go shooting and then ask which film and camera we want to use for the day. (Isn’t he the best??)

Before I got my scanner, he used to scan my spinner photos for me! He was also the one that helped me choose which scanner to order. Now that I have it, I always have more questions to bother him with hahaha.

But aside from giving me stuff all the time, he’s just awesome to hang out with and crack funny jokes with. So thank you @nigelk, here’s to you for being the generous film father to me!
