Kodak Ultramax 400: Your Round-the-Clock Shooting Partner
6 Share TweetGreat choice for both new-coming and advanced Lomographers, Kodak Ultramax 400, with its high ISO serves you round the clock and assure that all your photographic desires could be satisfied!
Back to the days when I was still a new-comer and trying to put my very first footprint on the path of Analogue Photography, Fuji X-tra Superia 400 was the film that I used most frequently. Then I started to get bored, and I caught sight of Kodak Ultramax 400.
Could be found even in supermarkets and convenience stores and being inexpensive (just USD2 for 36 shots!), it’s a perfect choice for new-comers who need a lot of practice and for those who’d like to experiment a lot. Vivid colour with red and green being the most outstanding ones, fine grains (though not as fine as Fuji films) and high contrast, Kodak Ultramax 400 is definitely good value for your money. Its high iso enables easy indoor and night scenery shooting, and no worry of shaking under such conditions even without using flashlight! It works very well with my Horizon Perfekt, LC-A+, Diana Mini, and Gakkenflex TLR and it’s the must-have item when I need to ensure satisfactory results under uncertain conditions.
Now, let my photos take the turn to speak how the film performs!
Vivid colour without significant colour shift…
Perfect for portraits showing natural skin colour tone…
Well-performed when shooting indoors and at night, vivid colour and fine grains still remains; sufficiently exposed and no blurring of image occurred even without the help of flash and tripod!
What more could I ask for?
