You know what they say in the Sin City — “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” But these interesting photos seem to say otherwise, showing all the bits and pieces of the world-famous entertainment city in its vintage splendor!
While Las Vegas at present glows with a chic and modern appeal, the Las Vegas of yesteryears had its own magic that people still find charming and nostalgic today. Before it beamed with state-of-the art lighting systems and bright plasma screens, Las Vegas was an enchanting city of neon lights, classic signages, and notable landmarks, especially along the famous streets of Fremont and the Las Vegas Strip.
Las Vegas, during its glorious vintage days, have captivated not only those who are seeking entertainment, but also artists, celebrities, and photographers who managed to take with them a piece of the early Sin City. Elvis had his “Viva Las Vegas,” Sinatra had his own stage in Las Vegas, and many historians, photographers, and vacationers had their own Vegas snapshots.
As a bonus, here’s a vintage home movie of Downtown Las Vegas filmed at night during the 1950’s, with some sights that you may only get to see in this clip. Enjoy!
