Stop, Point, Shoot! Introduction to Street Photography with the Lomography Gallery Store LA!

The Lomography Gallery Store LA is introducing a new workshop showcasing the classic art form that is Street Photography. You already know that our cameras are made lightweight and super easy to use, but did you know that they are also some of the most discreet cameras around? Perfect to capture those unsuspecting pedestrians!

Henri Cartier-Bresson (August 22, 1908 – August 3, 2004) was a French photographer considered to be the father of modern photojournalism. He was an early adopter of 35 mm format, and the master of candid photography. He helped develop the “street photography” or “real life reportage” style that has influenced generations of photographers who followed.

In this workshop we will cover the history of street photography, share inspirational images from the masters of this craft, and give you inside information of how to capture provocative images on the fly!

Cost: $10 (students $7), includes instructional lecture, loaner camera, and one free roll of film. Bring your own Lomographic camera for 50% off admission!

All attendees will receive a 10% off coupon to use at the Lomography Gallery Store. Already know you’re planning to come and want to ensure your spot? Call us ahead of time or come in to pre-register. Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop is scheduled to begin in order for us to start on time!
