Thrills, suspense, butterflies in the stomach… and here it is, the awesome LC-Wide! Most of us were oblivious of what was in stock for us with Lomography’s brand new “mystery product”, but we know this small wonder has already become everyone’s object of desire.
Thrills, suspense, butterflies in the stomach… and here it is, the awesome LC-Wide! Most of us were oblivious of what was in stock for us with Lomography’s brand new “mystery product”, but now we know this small wonder has already become everyone’s object of desire.
How come this happened so fast? Well, simply because it’s a new camera from Lomography –– in the purest LC-A+ tradition (lightmeter and MX switch included) plus some really awesome developments: wide angle lens and the possibility of shooting three different cool formats: standard, square and half frame! And, of course, the LC-W book plus the LC-A+ book full of photos, samplers, tipsters and lots of hours to invest in this LomoThing.
In accordance with the unique savoir faire of the LomoEmbassies in Madrid, we threw a whale of a party: music, delicious cocktails, killer minisandwiches, dogs, cats, hedgehodges, boys, girls and thousands of cameras and photos. We packed the store with people and all of them had the chance to feel the LC-Wide on their hands and shoot some photos.
All walks of life showed up: old-skool Lomographers who we get to see face-to-face and lens-to-lens every week and newbies who were coming into contact with this crazy world for the first time. And all of them were holding a Russian Wide on one hand while they waited for their turn to play pinball… because the new pinball machine of the Argensola street LomoEmbassy was a bit like the supporting star of the event.
Much to general surprise, and to my delight, Karen the hedgehog was among the attendant public, and her lovely snout instantly caught the attention of the cristal lens of the LC-Wide. She even dared to flirt with Joni, who salivated at her sight!
And to complete this tale about our launching party, we leave you with a video our most bizarre LomoAmbassador has made with some photos of that great night.
