Overcast skies didn’t deter any of the hardcore NYC Lomographers on Sunday as a group gathered at our Gramercy location and waited for the yellow school bus to arrive.
We handed out cameras and prepared the picnic spread until the bus arrived in all its yellow glory outside the shop. Soon we were all loaded up and began our journey, photographing New York City from the bus windows.
The destination was in Brooklyn where we would eventually arrive at Prospect Park! The group was thrilled as we pulled up to Brooklyn’s gorgeous Grand Army Plaza to see its famous arch and a parade of gourmet food trucks!
Just a few minutes of walking into the park and we were greeted by one of Prospect Park’s great lawns. Here we laid out the picnic blankets and unloaded a wonderful spread of fruit, cheese, veggies, and bread.
After a leisurely lunch the group began to split up and explore all that the park had to offer. Some of us stayed behind to play Frisbee and blow bubbles while the rest came back with stories of what they saw.
There is no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than lounging in a beautiful park with a Lomography camera and a group of friends!
Please add any of your own photos from the event if you attended!
