I found an amusing set of old pictures at a Flea Market in Bombay and thought I would share them with you!
So I was rifling around at a Flea Market in Bombays ‘Chor Bazaar’ – Translation: Thieves Market.
Scavenging about for some old camera equipment and other interesting trinkets I came upon this small booklet with some pictures inside. I really liked the square format, so I checked them out, and in next to no time me and my sister were in stitches reading the text which was written on the back of these pictures.
The story as I gather it is that this family used to send each other pictures back and forth, and wrote short messages to each other on the back.
Have a look for yourself !
Here is the booklet they were in:
This is the original text from the inside of the slightly frayed booklet:
A vague clue to the identity of these people:
Here an image of the woman aka “Blink-o” :)
The text on the back of the picture:
The two of them together:
The text on the back: The long and the short of it ! Maybe an insider joke?
The guy MAKING BRICKS…. :
The text on the back is just hilarious, his humour is dry as a bone:
My favorite, Mick on his bike.. wait till you see the text behind this image, so great:
Good luck from me and my new bike! It’s all polished and waiting for you! :) haha
This guy (Mick) is simply awesome, and I hoped you enjoyed seeing his pictures!
And thats it! Nothing really special, but since I did end up buying these and they are so obscure and funny and charming I though I would share them. Hope you enjoyed!
