You go on a holiday and can’t take your lover with you? You wish to be with him/her at all these great sightseeing spots, but he/she has to work, to go to university or whatever… here’s a little idea for you!
Recently I got the impression, that holidays are all about taking pictures. As soon as one takes a picture with a digicam, one can upload it to facebook or whatever, and share in less than a minute with every friend they know. It’s not that different with analogue cameras, only it takes more time. Sometimes I need to tell myself to put the cams away and to have a look like that at all the great things! Maybe you all know about it…
When I am back, sometimes I find things on my pictures, which I can’t remember. But I have seen them, the picture is the proof!
This made us think, that I could “manipulate” my holiday pictures like my girl had been with me! I took one layer of her, and then one layer of all the great tourist spots – here they are!

We found that pretty inspiring, so we teamed up with him for a Rumble competition based on that idea.
There’s a certain quietness to Kadin Tiu's work. Her paintings and photos are never obtrusive, but there seems to be a story tucked somewhere underneath. She recently collaborated with Lomography on a series of photos using the Minitar-1 lens, which she talks about in this short interview.
It’s that time of the year when you can almost hear the holiday knocking on your door. Although, holidays are usually meant for taking a break from your 9 to 5 type of a job, there is no reason why you shouldn’t allow yourself a healthy amount of laziness and still do some fun, creative things...
Shooting on film is a never-ending learning process for self-taught photographer Dee. Working with a tangible medium enables her to freely manipulate the photographs to suit the sentiments she wants to convey, during a shoot or afterwards in a darkroom.
