RECAP: Bloom Bloom! Lomo-Journey around Greenwich Village NYC

2011-05-11 1

Spring is finally here and on Saturday, May 7th, we Lomographers couldn’t wait to get out there and hunt for the most wonderful flowers in the West Village.

With LCA and Diana cameras, we started at The Jefferson Market Garden where the colors and variety where a-plenty! The gorgeous groups of roses, and daffodils provided perfect texture to serve as beds for exquisite double-exposures. As we proceeded to Christopher Park, we found ourselves smack dab in the middle of a street fair. We dodged the corndog munchers, and the brain freeze ridden ice cream lickers and shouted, “Sausage truck! I say thee nay! For it is the petals of a perfect bloom we seek!”

We ventured on to Sheriden Square and then finally to Washington Square Park, where the flowers, freaks, and fanciest friendlys were everywhere! Although, we never agreed on which flower was the most perfect of them all, we got to enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature in so many different forms.
