It may be our working life’s fate – the sun always likes to play “hide and seek” with us, we always cannot see the sunshine during holidays. However, it was finally sunny during the Easter holiday! In this good weather, I went to Tap Mun (Grass Island) with my family.
Tap Mun (Grass Island) is in the north of Sai Kung in Hong Kong, and it is actually an island. The island offers popular scenery such as “Overlapping Stones” and “Dragon Neck Stones”. It’s also a well-known camping site. There is a temple for a Chinese Goddess called “Tin Hau”, which many fishermen like to go to and pray for safety during their boat trips. Our visit coincided with Tai Hau’s birthday, so there were many colorful flags and banners in the place.
We went to the hill along the path. We found that many people encamped there and some children were kite-flying too. On this beautiful day, I took many photos using my Diana Mini with Kodak Elitechrome EBX. When we walked around the hill, the wind left us feeling refreshed for our daily work, we definitely felt great during this nice trip!
We then visited a nice village after going down the hill, and this trip lasted for about 2 hours.
You can go Tap Mun (Grass Island) from Wong Shek Pier in Sai Kung. Upon arrival, you can turn left and work through a fishing village. Then you can work along a path and go to the hill. You can see some scenic views such as the “Overlapping Stones”. After you go there, you can also enjoy the beautiful see views.
How to get there:
