The Emmy award winning show, 30 Rock featured a special cameo appearance by the analog wonder, the Diana F+!
It seems that analog photography is becoming insidious in the media lately or is it that I notice it more because of my passion for all things analog and I am more attuned to seeing it. Last friday night we were given a double treat on our TV screens. the hit american tv program, 30 Rock had its 100th show and midst the hilarious comedy antics of Liz Lemon, Tracey Morgan and cast there was a special cameo. No I am not talking about Michael Keaton’s funny turn as the potentially doomed janitor on his last day or the dodgy Bono lookalike in Tracy Jordan’s limo. I instead, am referring to the Diana F+.
Wielded by a bearded hipster the Diana was produced to get a photo of a near naked Tracy Jordan who was himself waving a toy light saber proclaiming that he was a Jedi.
That’s not all, further on in the show the Diana pops up again in the background as a news reporter does a report the bearded hipster returns again to take another snap. i hope he had film in the camera so we can see the photos!

Others consider it a trusty, go-to camera despite having a massive camera collection which sometimes include some of the best gear there is. Whatever the case may be, toy cameras will always hold a special place in the hearts (and shelves) of analog photographers everywhere, quirks and all.
