Joshua Tree National Park

My family visits this wonderful area once a year, and this year I brought along three of my beloved film cameras. Great for camping, hiking, and taking some phenomenal photos.

The first time I stayed in Joshua Tree National Park, I saw it as nothing more than a lonely desert campground. Now, with the heavy influence of Lomography following me everywhere, I appreciate it for all its beauty.

The main attractions in the park are the huge boulders that are scattered across the desert landscape. There are virtually no limitations on what you can climb or hike, so have a try at it! One area I recommend hiking is Rattlesnake Canyon, for a small trickle of water runs down it which creates several small waterfalls. Aside from that, just go explore!

This year, I was most excited for the great visibility of stars that Joshua Tree has. While my family and friends were sitting around the campfire, I wandered off behind some boulders and set up my tripod and did several very long exposures (15-45 minutes) and let the stars leave those dreamy trails on the film.

Joshua Tree National Park is one of my favorite travel destinations. It only costs 15USD per night to camp there. I recommend this location to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

I got much more information from your site . Aside from all the things to see in Joshua Tree National Park, there are a lot of rocks to climb. Seriously, this place is a rock climber’s dream. There are rock formations that that can be stared at for hours or climbed upon for days.
