Exakta Varex

Delayed action. Focal-plane speeded: 1/1000, 1/500, 1/250, 1/150, 1/100, 1/50, 1/25 (1/5, ½, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 additionally) and by hand. Lens: Carl Zeiss Biotar 58mm f/2-f/16; two Replaceable view-finders, “prism” and “mine”.

It was my friend’s gift for my birthday. He is a photographer. “Exakta” is a quality retro-camera with the finest Carl Zeiss optics. For the first time It was unusual to have the platoon on the left (other cameras have it on the right),but you can quickly get used to it the Replaceable view-finders are convenient, “mine” especially.

The Lens is out of the question (I haven’t ever met better ones). That is why, I think, it became the ancestor for the well-known among the amateurs Helioes 44. If you have a chance to Exakta Varex, you won`t feel so my.
