Summer has officially kicked off here in the Philippines and it’s time to bring out your free focus plastic toy cameras, such as the Vivitar UW&S, or an underwater camera, hit the beach, and soak under the sun!
Being an archipelago, the Philippines has an abundance of beaches to go to during the summer! Anywhere you are, you can literally drive a couple of hours from your location, and find yourself, sitting by the shore while enjoying fresh coconut juice, or an ice-cold bottle of beer! While going to world-famous beaches in the Philippines, such as Boracay or Panglao is always a good idea, one can also escape the heat of Metropolitan Manila without having to spend so much on airfare and accommodations.
Just about 100 kilometers from Manila is Subic! A 1st-class municipality in the province of Zambales, and a former location of a U.S. Naval Base, Subic’s coastline plays host to a number of beach resorts that are quite friendly to your pocket!
You can do a bunch of stuff while on the beach: swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, banana boat ride; and if you have a big enough budget, you can even rent a jet ski!
So, the next time you’re in the Philippines, escaping winter or on a business trip, and you want to catch some sun, head on out to Subic! Friendly shores that are even friendlier to your pocket!
