RECAP: Meet the Diana Mini @ Lomography Gallery Store NYC Gramercy

On Sunday April 10th 2011 a Diana Mini workshop was held at the Lomography Gallery Store NYC – Gramercy. It was a rather gloomy day outside and we all held our breath waiting for the arrival of eager Diana miniers, but lucky for us, three Lomographers signed there names and grabbed a Diana Mini and were ready to learn all about the tiny camera!

This camera may look small, but there is a lot to remember before taking it out to shoot. The workshop went through all the details, including how to load film correctly, focusing, using flash, and all the specs involved in the camera. The group asked plenty of questions and by the end of the workshop we were ready to go out and shoot around the city.

Being a cloudy, very dreary day the group shot Lomography branded 800ISO film. We headed to Madison Square park… soon realizing there was a lot going on the city! An amazing food market was on Broadway, setting up the perfect color shot. On the other side of the park a music concert was happening, giving us even more to shoot.

Overall the group had a great time capturing the city through their Diana Minis.
