Secret Cinema

Secret Cinema gives you an opportunity not only to watch a film, but to actually be a part of it and experience cinema on a whole different level!

I’m not actually supposed to talk about Secret Cinema. After all, the motto is “Tell no-one!” Let’s just keep this between you and I. The secret is just too good not to tell someone.

Secret Cinema is a growing community of film lovers that are willing to submit themselves to a little mystery in order to reap the great rewards of an unparalleled cinematic experience. I don’t want to give too much away, because that would ruin part of the fun. What I can tell you is that you buy tickets for a movie, but you don’t know what it actually will be. You don’t even know where the venue is located, until you show up at a meeting point and are led or directed to the secret location. You are usually given some guidelines of what clothing to wear (yes, there’s a fancy dress element here) and what to bring. What you find when you arrive, is that you’re transported into the world of the film being presented. The pre-show entertainment is actually immersing yourself in the world of the featured film. Following that, you will then watch the actual film.

Each event is totally unique. It’s something not to be missed! You’ll probably no longer be satisfied to watch a DVD at home or even go out to a traditional cinema. You’ll crave the Secret Cinema experience where you actually experience the story in real life! Okay, I’ve said way too much already. Tell no-one! Just get your tickets and go!

Past events featured films such as: Blade Runner, Lawrence of Arabia, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Wings of Desire, Bugsy Malone, The Warriors, Ghostbusters, The Red Shoes, and Alien.

Secret Cinema events are not on a set schedule or regular venue. It occurs approximately four times a year. Check the official website for the next event.
