The Hummingbird Bakery

Awesome American-style cupcakes made in London.

Who doesn’t love a cupcake? A proper one with soft sponge and a mountain of colourful creamy, buttercream icing on top. And for amazing freshly-made cupcakes you can’t get any better than the famous Hummingbird Bakery.

Looking down at the counter is like staring into an edible rainbow. So many different colours and flavours. I decided two cakes would probably be enough sugar for a whole week and that I wanted to go for a classic flavour but also be adventurous. Vanilla it is then and I highly recommend my ‘adventurous choice’, the apple crumble cupcake. It has REAL APPLE in it!

They also sell pies and brownies if you like but why would you not want a cupcake?

They have 3 stores:
SOHO: 155a Wardour Street, London W1F 8WG
PORTOBELLO ROAD: 133 Portobello Road, London W11 2DY
KENSINGTON: 47 Old Brompton Road, London SW7 3JP
