My favorite Blue Plaque located in Primrose Hill: 122 Regent’s Park Road, Primrose Hill, NW1.
You can see it as you exit Primrose Hill:
The address is 122 Regent’s Park Road, Primrose Hill, NW1.
I would recommend getting there by walking from Baker Street, St John’s Wood or Regent’s Park, that way you can even take your dog with you. :)
Plus, you’ll get more opportunities to take pictures:
Friedrich Engels was a political theorist and philosopher who lived in this building from 1870 to 1895. After studying him in my philosophy class I was intrigued to see where Engels spent the last years of his life. Friedrich Engels supported Marx’s work financially. He didn’t like “Das Kapital” but he supported Marx’s research. Under surveillance from the secret police, he and Mary Burns had several ‘official homes’ and ‘unofficial homes’ all over inner city Manchester. While focusing on his studies, he maintained a daily correspondence with Karl Marx. Marx was living in London, where Engels moved in 1870. His lived there until his death.
If anyone is interested in learning more about his life I would recommend reading Marx’s General: The Revolutionary Life of Friedrich Engels By Tristram Hunt.
Also after going there, you can go take some pictures of the shops in Primrose Hill:
