If you’re tired of having to think through your every picture, and would like to get more from a negative than 12, even more than 36 photographs, you’re in a good place! Hold on tight, cause the small cute camera, also known as a Diana Mini, is not just a fancy accessorize.
As you may, or may have not known, the magic of the Diana Mini is in numbers. Can you imagine getting 72 analogue photographs using only one 35mm roll of film? Now you can! If you think ‘more is more’ then you should be satisfied with the lovely half-frame format. And to all of you, confused and still looking, there’s a magic switch that allows you to change between the half-frame and the square format. If you choose to go for square, there’s going to be 36 photos.
Okay, enough with the numbers. Another great feature is that with a small camera like that you can get close to the object without scaring it away. The closest Diana Mini lets you is 0,6m which is pretty cool comparing to her big Sis Diana F+.
It also goes well with the Diana F+ flash. My Diana Mini is from the Petite Noire series. I got it for my last birthday. It turned out to be great with people. Everyone is amused by the cute look, and with the flash it looks even more sophisticated. And that’s the perfect time to SHOOT! Trust me, you’re going to have some amazing party-pics after.
Like with every Lomography camera, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Double exposure? Why not! Shooting B time — yes you can.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my little story about a camera with a big heart. Remember it’s you that makes all the rules. I can only advise you to have fun!
