Uma cidade europeia nos Estados Unidos

Todo mundo deve se lembrar da sua primeira vez… eu me lembro da minha. Eu estava viajando com minha família, descobrindo a Califórnia. Não consigo me lembrar de cada detalhe daquela viagem incrível, mas me lembro bem do que senti na primeira vez que vi São Francisco. Aquelas colinas, as casas no estilo Vitoriano, os bondinhos, a majestosa Golden Gate. Logo nos primeiros minutos, a cidade se tornou a cidade dos meus sonhos. Quem diria que 15 anos depois eu estaria a apenas uma hora da minha cidade dos sonhos?

Há muito que se fazer em São Francisco e os bondinhos são uma das atrações mais populares. Embora eu precise confessar que nunca andei de bonde (ainda), eu gosto de ir ao ponto de manobra na estação Powell & Market e ficar lá só assistindo aos milhares de turistas que fazem fila todos os dias.

A ponte Golden Gate é um dos meus lugares favoritos da cidade. Eu quero ir de bicicleta até Sausalito – uma cidade de beleza extraordinária logo do outro lado da ponte, e voltar de balsa. A vista que se tem do outro lado da ponte é maravihosa! E há vários bons restaurantes por lá!

De volta a cidade, eu recomendo ir ao bairro Castro. Se você assistiu ao filme Milk, muitas das cenas foram filmadas lá. É um bairro colorido como você pode ver nas fotos. Um dos prédios que mais chamam a atenção é o Teatro Castro.

Bem perto, fica o bairro Haight-Ashbury, e mesmo sem ter levado minhas câmeras lá ainda, eu pretendo fazer isso muito em breve. Este lugar deve ser parada obrigatória em sua visita a São Francisco.
