Lomography Diana Mini

It seems like yesterday that this tiny little camera was launched, but it was nearly two years ago now! I enjoy using my big Diana and the endless artistic possibilities it gives, so when I first saw this camera I knew I had to add it to my collection.

It seems like yesterday that this tiny little camera was launched, but it was nearly two years ago now! I enjoy using my Diana F+ and the endless artistic possibilities it gives, so when I first saw the Diana Mini camera I knew I had to add it to my collection.

You can do all sorts with this camera — long exposures, multiple exposures, endless-panoramics and nearly anything else you can imagine.

This camera has one major feature that it’s bigger sister hasn’t — the ability to switch between square and half-frame sizes mid-roll via a handy switch. You can only change formats on the big Diana once a roll is finished.

The endless-panoramic technique involves taking a photo, winding the camera a few clicks, and taking another photo a bit to the right; and so on. I haven’t quite mastered it…

Multiple exposures are pretty obvious. Just take a photo and then take another photo…

I sometimes find myself forgetting to change the focus on this camera – more-so than any other camera I have. Not sure why, but never mind!

The only thing I wish this camera had was the ability to change lenses, such as fisheye or extra zoom. I guess you could improvise by holding big Diana lenses in front of this camera – this could lead to interesting results!
