Lomo Timeline

If you’ve got blank space on your wall, and a lot of photos, this is the perfect mini project! I tore down all the magazine clippings that I had on my wall before I got my lomo cameras. Now that I have actual pictures that are my own, I decided to use them on my wall!

You’ll need:

  • Lots of pictures, preferably of people (the pictures should be in chronological order)
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Blank space on your wall….duh
  • Pencil
  • Meter stick/measuring tape

Alright, first off, put your lomographs in order based on when they were taken, oldest to newest. Then, if you don’t mind, cut around the subject in your photo. This makes the time line have shape. If you don’t feel comfortable cutting your lomographs, you can just make copies or refrain from cutting them.

Next off, start at one end of your wall and draw a straight line from one wall to the other. This will be at the bottom of all your pictures. At this point, all you’ve got to do is tape up the pictures along the line. Keep them close together so they all look connected.

The great thing about this timeline is that you can see how much you/people have changed; for better or for worse. It’s great for decoration. Hopefully I’ve inspired new ideas :) Have fun!

cool idea. i reckon i would'nt be able to cut mine up, i'd be too scared!!
however i have a wall at home dedicated to something like this - one of my bedroom walls has been slowly gaining photos from left to right, the entire height to show different times in life!
