Photography needs no planning, location, and time. It should be carried out anytime, any place, all the time.
All along, I’ve wished that I can travel everywhere with my camera. I want to capture the beauty of this world through my lens. Unfortunately, there is a distance between dreams and reality. For a working guy like me, the distance is quite insurmountable. But photography needs no planning, location, and time. It should be carried out anytime, any place, all the time.
Not long ago, I got my hands on an LC-A+. To celebrate its introduction into my life, I decided to show it my dailies, and practise my latest photography philosophy – anytime, any place, all the time!
More than 80% of my daily life is committed to one activity: working. Actually, work is nothing to be afraid of. The worse fear is… working everyday. As I work in the heart of the city, I would park my car elsewhere and take the metro to the office. There is always a 20% probability of the metro breaking down, or arriving late, and there is a 90% chance that my bum would be in close contact with a stranger’s from the time I board the metro until I alight! What to do? There are millions of people taking the metro in this city!
It is in this place that I exchange my life for what I need to do to keep my life (again, work). Isn’t it sad? And don’t be fooled by its outer beauty – it’s a jungle inside there!
After a boring half day, I like to meet my friends for lunch in a neighbouring building. Along the way, I would walk through an underground tunnel. I like the futuristic lights and colors. But most importantly, it shields me from the blistering sun.
On my way home, I like to stand in a corner observing this city quietly. With my LC-A+, I can see the world thorugh its lens, capture every moment permanently. May the LC-A+ grant me a pair of photographic eyes.
