Doubly exposing everything around me. One day last week I decided to go for a wander. I had some things to do around Santa Coloma de Gramanet and decided to dedicate the rest of the morning to my Holga 135.
I found myself near the Besós River and discovered a nice footpath that runs alongside it. At first the views were nothing special, but the further I went, the more interesting it became.
There’s lots of joggers and cyclists along the path and it’s surrounded by industrial estates and lots of different buildings. During the 1970s and 80s, the Besós became known as the most contaminated river in Europe due to the stretch that crosses a heavily populated and industrialised area. Thankfully, a water purifying system was put in place in the 1990s and now it’s a lot cleaner.
The Besós River Park was inaugurated during the renovation of the Universal Forum of Cultures. It’s located between Barcelona, Santa Coloma de Gramenet and San Adrián de Besós, and is also where I found myself. The photos are double exposures of the river surroundings and the Universal Forum of Cultures.
