I knew that 4 days wouldn’t be enough for Paris, but hubby promised me that this would only be an introduction, a “101” to Paris, and now I can’t wait to go back!!!
Paris…I used to think that it was overrated, not my type, until one day a friend told me, “You can sit at a cafe and have some cheese and wine.” Now that was a catch phrase for me! So when we were planning to go to Amsterdam a second time, we decided to take a train to Paris for a few days as well. I knew that 4 days wouldn’t be enough for Paris, but hubby promised me that this would only be an introduction, a “101” to Paris, and now I can’t wait to go back! Of course we couldn’t get to do a lot in only 4 days, just some shopping and sightseeing! Our first stop was the Lomo Store, and our last stop too, and once or twice each day that we were there! Other than the Lomo Store, we got to see a few places too. For one thing, we got to see the Eiffel Tower. I got the tickets beforehand and even though I’m afraid of heights, I couldn’t resist! If only my Zorki 1 did not eat up a whole roll of film, it would have been perfect!
Other than that, our time only allowed us to walk around the Champs Elysees and La Fayette, and see the Notre Dame, the Pompidou, and around the Louvre. We could not even go in because our time was so limited! But I got to enjoy the Christmas markets, so I’m not complaining. :)
Oh and wine, lots and lots of wine. So now I can’t wait to go back! Paris has turned out to be my favorite city!
