Inside crypts and catacombs there are interred many famous people of Lithuania. The Lithuanian King Mindaugas built the original cathedral in 1251 after his conversion to Christianity. The cathedral was destroyed and rebuilt a lot of times. Behind the cathedral there is big cathedral square. This square is very attractive to young people who come here to play foot bag and etc. There is a “lucky pavement brick” between cathedral and cathedral clock tower. It is believed that you must come on that brick and turn around and your dream will come true.
