When I showed my last pictures to my sister, she asked me what was that place. I told her it was Brick Lane, and she asked: ‘What the hell is Brick Lane?’ Well, it was a little bit difficult to explain.
Brick Lane is a street in East London where you can find the best and the worst curry in the city; it is a place surrounded by beautiful markets like Spitafields or the Truman Brewery and a spot where you can feel you own.
Why do I love East London on Sundays? Going back to Brick Lane and having a look in any of the markets around, makes for the perfect plan for a Sunday morning. If you are looking for vintage clothes, kitschy stuff or nice international food from okonomiyaki to empanadas and cupcakes, you must visit the Sunday Up Market!
And if you bring your camera, you can even make some friends!
I like it because it is busy, a little bit chaotic and a place where you don’t need too long to feel comfortable in. So, if you are a newcomer to London and you need a little bit of “feeling like home”, you must spend a Sunday at Brick Lane.
