They have the worlds largest collection of Edgar Leeteg paintings, in the world! This recently revived Tiki Bar at the Waldorf Hotel also features a completely Analog sound system, DJ’s every night and great cocktails.
Leeteg was considered the father of American Velvet Painting Kitsch, having discovered and mastered the ancient forgotten art form when he moved to Tahiti in 1933, and famously painted the Polynesian women of the island. Eventually he became a popular artist and paintings sold for thousands of dollars, though never considered his work as art.
A good excuse to check out this recently revived Tiki Bar, a really cool location, DJ’s spinning vinyl, and delicious drinks.
