All the places in the world have history and all sorts of stories to count to its neverending list of memories. There are those that are happy, yet, we always seem to remember the sad stories better.
One such story happens to be about this calm beach at the Galician coast in Ría de Vigo.
The beautiful part is the sea, its small size makes it very cozy, its cold water, wakes up our senses, and the romantic tunnel that comes from the other side of the street to come to the beach.
Not long ago, Spain suffered a bitter Civil War. It was the year 1936, when our society was split into two: two parts that still could not have healed its wounds.
As in many other places, between the confusion and the fear, the two bands committed many atrocities. In our little beach, a small stone monument serves as a remembrance to those people who were forced to move out of their homes and die in this beautiful place.
This type of place serves as perpetual reminder of what human beings must never do but always seems to forget!
He calls himself Khalik Allah – a creator, a limitless, timeless, infinite being. He documents life as it comes and goes, as it hurts, as it glows inside the protagonists of his stories. His photography and videography take us deep into the never-ending nights of Harlem, a place where the darkness might seem to reach its peak. Yet, he is capturing light in its purest form, reminding us that it lies in everyone’s eyes, within everyone’s self.
Our Lomographers love their Petzval and, as a result, they have taken it to the most amazing places: gardens full of green, immensely busy cities and breathtaking landscapes. Yet, sometimes, all you need is what you have right at home. Keeping family memories with the Petzval Lens never looked this good, and golfpunkgirl does it well.
There are many possible reasons for taking pictures. It could be to document an event, to capture breathtaking scenery, to preserve a fond memory, or simply, to have a snapshot of someone close to your heart. Whatever the reason, there's almost always a story behind a picture, no matter how significant or trivial it may be. And for lomographers, nothing beats the feeling of having that story unfold in your hand, in the form of a print. If you want a quick keepsake from that treasured moment or a snapshot of that special someone though, you can have it instantly, through Lomo'Instant Stories!
We spend copious amounts of time stalking camera forums and researching specifications that "hunter" seems a more fitting term than "collector." And yet, when the time comes to pack all this game—the new or thrillingly ancient cameras—we DIY padding on the spot. (Guilty of trying to avoid the unappealing gear bag from the department store.) Last year though we stocked up on camera bags that are as cool as they are protective. Here are some of them.
It can be said that photography is more than just a click on the camera, it makes the moments, people and emotions live forever. This was confirmed to us by an exceptional Dutch photographer Ferry Verheij, whose photographs represent stories of all those people and places he had a chance to know.
Fueled by wanderlust, a sense of wonder, and curiosity, lomographers have been through all corners of the world to explore and capture on film everything it has to offer. Lomographers have arguably seen it all—and by all we mean not just the beautiful vistas, but also those places that only the brave ones venture into. Here are but a few of them.

Not all photographs are meant to be seen in vibrant, saturated colors, and neither are they always suitable for in black and white. Lomography welcomes yet another innovation from KONO! The Reanimated Film. Without diminishing the aesthetic value of images, KONO! Donau 35mm Film casts a distinct blue tone to photos. It is ultra-low ISO film that is best used for long exposure shots. Check out this fine selection of uniquely tinted images.
