View the Photos of an Album as a Slideshow

5

Some weeks ago we tested a feature showing the photos of an album as a slideshow (like the ones you know from the Magazine) – now we’re rolling this convenient way of browsing photos out to you.

Click this button on the top right in the overview page of an album to see its photos as a slideshow.

If you want to comment or like a photo, simply click the “open this photo” link (to be found in the slideshow navigation). One additional bonus: if you are friends with the owner of the album you can see the photos in an even bigger size.

So where to test this feature? Basically any album of course, but here are the top 50 people who have just uploaded one album but already received a lot of comments and likes – say hello and tell them to upload more: Trip to Thaïland by zopia, Holga 120 CFN by kamil_rachwal, Battlefield 3x35mm pinhole camera by -l-l-l-, LC-A+/ Lomography color negative 100 by hankypant, Cat Village by ccwu, Egypte Oct 2010 by opal, Hello Bintan! by zhihow, Brisbane Holga 135bc by yadda-yadda-yadda, First Roll by microfil, lca+ alchemy by creations, mexiko, roadtrip by wulf, San Sebastian X-PrO 200 by alexaindre_pejenaute, Horizon 202 by locutus, just a day with the diana mini(: by bellasullivan, Summer 2008 by jordi09, Pinhole Shots by juxtimon, test by dayalsumit, Ce qui ne nous rajeunit pas by marie-l, My Jumbled Mess! by inf3ktion, insane by rosielullaby, Holga 120 GCFN by davidpowell, Everything.. by tobiasronnertz, Holga / Lightpainting by h1n5, A Perfect Band For A Perfect World by faintly, Lomography Scavenger Hunt at LOMO Gallery LA & OC Fair by ginotez, My First Roll by amyg, Horizon by kaho152, Horizonal by iain, positive emotions by lizzylizzy, roma 2010 by oskar73, Holga 120 CFN by cockatiella, My First Pictures - USA 2010 by lilybuzz, Kiev 88 by simonjamesonweston, lomolove by kiiiza, Lubitel/Holga Love by scottnak, Chapel Hill by jennykjordan, after the deadline by alphileo, Lost my lomovirginity by burox, © Sophie Corto by sophiecorto, Tokyo Colors! by mio0221, First three rolls by tabi_, Portraits by papaya, Photos from Japan by hagisawa_416, SomeSummer by lizzlemon, City Park, Birthday (1st roll) by gabrielasoares, LCA by matthbooth, upload by donnie_vendetta, My Pics by lomobay, Lyelomo by lyeheng and Norway (South) by katarina_.

Please note: sometimes it might take a while until the photos are loaded as we need to resize some of them. But this just happens the first time.

Let us know what you think of this feature in the comments and link your favorite slideshows!

the feature is cool, but apparently we can't "like" a picture when it's in this mode... or didn't I see it?

A Salute to the Masters: Matera in Black and White (A Tribute to Pepi Merisio)

Some months ago the wonderful city of Matera, chosen as the European Capital of Culture 2019, hosted an exhibit featuring the works of an important Italian social photographer: Pepi Merisio, who had also donated all photos shown to the local public library. To pay homage to this great artist, I have selected a series of photos that I took in this place last summer. Take a look!

From Experimental to Ordinary: LomoAmigo Martin Dietrich Tests the Minitar-1 Art Lens

In order to escape the world of facts and figures, tax auditor Martin Dietrich discovered photography as his creative counterpart almost seven years ago. On a trip to Paris he fell in love with analog photography and the magic of film has been fascinating to him since then. But he also appreciates the benefits of digital photography. For Lomography he tested the Lomo LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens on his Fuji X-Pro 1 camera. Check out Martin's photos and learn more about the founder of the popular Neoprime magazine.

Inspiring and Daring Women in Contemporary Photography (Part I)

We love a striking photo as much as the next person, but a unique point of view makes us head straight to a feature. Who should the world know more about? Who has rocked our perception of beauty, sexuality and creativity? These questions populate our notepads, and our list of photographers is quite long. For International Women's Day 2016, we whittle the directory down to our current favorites, photographers who resist labels (even the ones we give them) and dare the world to see what they see.

How to Develop Photos on Stone in a Darkroom

I have always loved the idea of seeing my photos on stone and other natural materials. So, a few months ago, I began googling how it could be done. This is how I discovered (and fell in love with) liquid emulsion. Liquid emulsion is photographic emulsion which you can melt down and paint on any surface. You can then expose an image and develop it using traditional darkroom chemicals. In this article, I would like to explain the process a little, so that if you are also interested in giving this fun process a go, you can!
