Turn Diana Mini into Fisheye Camera

2011-01-28 14

Hate that your Diana Mini can’t capture Fisheye photos like Diana F+ or Fisheye camera, here’s the cheap solution. =)

First, you should prepare a scissors or blade, a sponge, Holga 135/120 Fisheye lens ($30) and of course your Diana Mini as well.

1. Cut the sponge in to this dimension:
– length: 14cm
– height: 1cm
– wide: 2cm

2. Insert the sponge into the Holga Fisheye lens.

3. Before adapt the lens to the camera, the aperture adjust to 4meter to infinity.

4. Now you can adapt it with your Diana Mini and capture around!!!! :)

  • To prevent the lens to drop out from the camera, you can thicken the sponge inside.

Wow, if only I'd seen this before I fell so completely out of love with my old Mini! It might have saved our relationship - or at least kept it going a bit longer. Good tipster, good sir!

@noe_arteaga - I don't have other Holga lenses, if you have them, you may try to do so.

what about trying this to the diana f+?
    can it fit?

Diana F+ lens is bigger than Diana Mini, so the Holga lens may not fit.

Looks like that Holga lens works better on the Diana mini than it does on the Holga!

Would you rather lose your vision or your hearing? As photographers, we might choose the latter without a second thought, especially while viewing the festival photos that photographer Mart Vares captured with the New Petzval 85 Lens. While following the Nordic delegation at this years Waves Central Europe, we caught up with the Estonian band, Würffel, whose songs leave us feeling equally delighted.
