Fuji Superia 35mm ASA 200

2011-02-16 1

Beautiful vivid colour with vibrant and intense blue. Seem a ‘lil bit like an X-pro slide. The grain is smoothly fine. Sharpness is great too. Contrast in some pictures are fantastic. Green colour also cool. Whenever you’re feeling blue, try this film.

I moved to Taipei, Taiwan this summer. I bring all my cameras with me including my lovely Vivitar UWS but I didn’t bring any film. I didn’t know any photo shop nearby, so I went to the nearest convenience store in campus. The store only sell the fresh all-around film Fuji Superia ASA 200, so I bought it. Besides my Viv never has been loaded with this film before. So I wander around campus and the neighbourhood. I shot mostly in wonderful bright shiny day of summer. After finishing the last frame I brought it right away to the lab and have it processed.

The results were kinda surprising. Beautiful vivid colour with vibrant and intense blue. Seem a lil bit like an X-pro slide film. I’ve used this film before but not this bluey. I like it though. The grain is smoothly fine. Sharpness is great too. Contrast in some pictures are fantastic. The three magic colours of Fuji: Red, Yellow and Green colour are also cool. As in my country, I think this film is available and can be processed in many places in Taipei with low price. Now I’ve found a new partner for my Viv. I can’t wait to try another roll of it with my other cameras and “feeling blue” again.

I have only used fuji 35mm 200 ASA in my Diana Mini and liked it very much! It's a bit cheaper than lomo film. As you say, vivd colour!
