Here in the UK we have some awesome community members, who are always involved, always excited, and always sharing their Lomographic Lives with us! So, to acknowledge their brilliance we asked them to share a little more about themselves.

Choosing a favourite shot is difficult for me as each one is special in its own unique way. I’ve picked the shot above as it came from my beloved Fisheye no.1, one of the first members in my Lomo family. I love the colours in this image and the way it reminds me of a perfect summers day in the sunny Worcestershire country side.
How long I’ve been a Lomographer:
I’ve been a happy snapper since 2007 when I picked up my first Lomo camera, an electric blue Supersampler.
Favourite Camera/Film/Accessory Combination:
My favourite combination is currently my Holga 135 loaded with Lomography X-Pro Chrome teamed with my Colorsplash Flash.
Boy do I love my colorsplash flash, it’s possibly the best investment I’ve made. I like to combine it with my Diana Mini, Holga or Trip 35 for the perfect photo recipe.
I’m a big fan of Lomography X-Pro Chrome and love the colourful, unpredictable results it produces.
In my own words….
I first found Lomography whilst visiting my sister who lives in Lisbon back in 2007.
The Lomography shop in Bairo Alto was on the corner of my sisters street so I popped in to be nosey, left with a Supersampler and have been snapping away ever since. I filled 4 rolls in a weekend and then I must admit I came home, went back to work and only occasionally took my camera out.
Last year a friend of mine gave me her old Fisheye No.1 and it was then that I really got stuck in. I discovered that what I thought was just a little shop in Portugal was actually an amazing worldwide community!
I learned about the 10 golden rules and how they are made to be broken and found a whole new way of looking at the world through a plastic lense.
I love lomography, the unpredictability of each shot and the “don’t think just shoot” mentality but most of all I love the community aspect. The people, rumbles, tipsters, photos and of course, who could forget Mr.Pig, really make it something really exciting to be part of.
I’m glad my friend gave me that Fisheye as it made me re-visit something that otherwise I would be missing and I would be missing out big time!
