St Petersburg was not on my “Top Vacation Destinations” list even 6 months ago, but meeting a few Lomographers from Russia changed all that!
In March, I met a couple of Lomographers from St Petersburg, who were visiting Istanbul louvetau and bambuinka I really loved hanging out with them that I couldn’t resist going to Russia for my vacation and visit them!
Packing was the hardest thing because when we left Istanbul, it was still summer and Russia was already approaching winter. But we were lucky to only see rain 1 day!
St Petersburg is full of history, everywhere you look, you see statues, historic landmarks or most importantly palaces! The sights to see include of course The Hermitage, Winter Palace, Nevsky Prospect, The Kazan and Spilled Blood Cathedrals and to wrap it all up, a boat trip on the last day to remember all that you have seen. We managed to do all that and even more in our 7 days :)
And I was fortunate enough to also squeeze in a workshop for the Lomography Russia which pretty much proves that I’m way too lucky when it comes to Lomography!!!
Oh and the trip added 2 Cameras to my already large collection :)
So, even though St Petersburg was not on my mind, I loved being there, the sights I saw, the cams I got, but especially being able to spend some time with friends, this trip was totally worth it!
