Uma das atrações mais interessantes da Virada Cultural 2010 foi a Cia. de Artes do Baque Bolado e Grupo Cangarussu com sua performance “A Voz da Lama” onde 22 artistas semi-nús e com o corpo coberto de lama do mangue desfilaram em cortejo pela região do Vale do Anhangabaú.
A música explosiva originada dos tambores de Maracatu de Baque Virado do estado de Pernambuco e Djembes de origem africana exercia o chamado ao redor do Vale e pessoas animadas e cheias de ritmo se aglomeravam em volta do grupo.
A performance era uma mistura de elementos da cultura tradicional brasileira com influências contemporâneas e a dança não se limitava ao seu espaço original, movimentando-se em ritmo tribal de uma ponta à outra da Anhangabaú.
A empolgação era tamanha, que as pessoas não se importavam em interagir com os artistas e se sujar de lama e suor. Quem lá estava, podia sentir a energia, quase hipnótica, quase ritualística.
