Dataran Merdeka

Color your night with fascinating neon at an old historic building Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad at Dataran Merdeka , Kuala Lumpur. If you want to know more about Dataran Merdeka, you can read reinertlee’s article.
He had described more about it.

I went here to experiment bulb mode using my FED5B .I chose Dataran Merdeka because it is located in the middle of Kuala Lumpur City. Sure there will be a lot of vehicles around here even though it was night. By the time I arrived there, I was hypnotized by the random neon color up all around the Sultan Abdul Samad’s building.

Yeah! I can guarantee that all the long exposure lover would love to spend the night here. I don’t have any tripod and I remember one of Lomography’s rule , "Dont think just shoot " so I just set the shutter speed to B mode and shoot the scene. Although the FED5B is a rangefinder camera, “forget all the rules”.

I forgot to bring my lovely Holga to experiment “holgarama” . I’m sure it will be great with the combination of many colors ! For those Lomographers outside Malaysia , this place is highly recommended to record your amazing moments in Malaysia. =D

PS: the road in front of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building is closed every weekend but you can get here by walking.
