The Diana World Tour wouldn’t be complete without the Diana Vignettes! We are looking for the best Baltic summer shot accompanied by a short story.
Not only does the Lomographic Soctiey Baltics warmly welcome you at the Gallery Tasty from 24th of August to 17th of September to visit the Diana World Tour, we even want you to complement the exhibition! This is why we call for Summer Vignettes entries from which the best 20 submissions will be selected to be displayed during the Diana World Tour.
Take your Diana F+ camera to capture the summer vibe or search through your archive of Diana photos to find the perfect summer shot – we would love to see how you experience the summer in the Baltics! Then, let the photo inspire you to write your personal short story.
The resolution of the Diana pic should be at least 2.000 × 2.000 px.
Max. 5 submissions per person.
Don’t forget to add your name, where you are from and the location where the photo was taken!
We happily accept submissions from all over the world, but please note, that the picture has to be shot in either Estonia, Lithuania or Latvia!
Deadline is the 19th of August, so be fast!
The selected Vignettes will not only be admired by the hundreds of visitors, you can also win one of six Diana Clones!
Rigidly defined, a vignette is a “short, impressionistic scene that focuses on one moment in time or gives a particular insight into a character, idea, or setting". With merely a few words and a few specific details, it gives one a penetrating view into the life and motivations of your subject.
Earlier this summer, in partnership with the Meural, Lomography NYC called for submissions to a rumble inspired by the German word sehnsucht. We are pleased to announce the photographs that were selected to be shown in our gallery and on the Meural platform, along with the grand prize winner!

The Reanimated Film. Without diminishing the aesthetic value of images, KONO! Donau 35mm Film casts a distinct blue tone to photos. It is ultra-low ISO film that is best used for long exposure shots. Check out this fine selection of uniquely tinted images.

Creating a movie, no matter how short it is, requires a certain amount of discipline. For it to be coherent, one must keep his focus throughout the entire process - from shooting the scenes to editing the clips. With that, we are truly grateful for the effort that these lomographers put into making these LomoKino movies.
Colors may be amped to look unreal, like nothing of this world. Shots may be doubled, cross-processed, post-processed, mixed up into collages. The possibilities are infinite, yet some photographers still prefer black and white. Even in 2016, it is an ode to classic values of precision and balance. Light and shadow must be one pleasing dance. And just like in a well-choreographed piece, forms are obvious or playing coy. It all depends on how you're looking.
For this competition, we sought for the best looking photos related to the theme "lightness," from images of something that's light as a feather to pictures that conjure up ideas of dreams and wisps of clouds. The jury has made its decision, and we are proud to present the winners.
