Concluído em 1998 para a Expo ’98, esta ponte é a segunda que atravessa o Rio Tejo, em Lisboa. Tem 17km (a mais longa na Europa) e a sua construção teve algumas preocupações ambientais como a inclinação dos postes de iluminação construídos desta maneira para que não incomodem os flamingos e outros animais.
Sob a parte norte da ponte, onde a Expo ’98 decorreu, vão encontrar um óptimo sítio para andar e praticar desportos como andar de skate no skate parque.
