Es gibt 187.888 Seen in Finnland! Der Païjänne See ist der zweitgrößte See des Landes.
Er ist 119 km lang und 23 km breit. Der Uferbereich ist ca. 11.000 km lang.
Der See liegt etwa 200 km nördlich von Helsinki. Er eignet sich fürs Bootfahren, Sportfischen oder als Sommerresidenz.
Der See ist nicht sehr tief, so dass das Wasser im Sommer sehr warm ist (ca. 24 °C, Ausnahme dieses Jahr: nur 17 °C, aber das Wetter war auch schrecklich) und man im See schwimmen kann.
Eine bessere Art das Bad zu genießen, ist ein Mökki (ein traditionelles Holz-Sommerhaus) zu mieten:
In einem Mökki gibt es immer eine Sauna. So kannst du, wenn du direkt aus der Sauna kommst, in den See springen. Das ist magisch.
Der See ist von Wald umgeben, der zum größten Teil aus Kiefern, Fichten und Birken besteht.
Im Wald kannst du Blaubeeren, Himbeeren und Walderdbeeren finden.
Also versuch es nächsten Sommer: Gib Strom und fließendes Wasser auf.
