How long have you been into photography? What place does this passion hold in your life?

I started back in 2017, when I bought my first camera, a brand other than Lomography. Since then, my passion has only grown. I went on more and more walks, took on photo projects and then video projects with short films. Eventually, my love for imaging took over my professional life, and I started my own business after finishing my master’s degree.

This is your first time trying out our New Petzval 55 f/1.7 MKII Art Lens, what did you think?

It’s just as exciting and surprising as the image I had imagined. I loved taking it on walks, playing with the intensity of its effects. Whether shooting photos or videos, it was a real pleasure to discover and test. A lens with a truly magical look and really high-quality results.

What was your favorite feature or effect with this lens, and why?

Surprisingly, it wasn’t the maximum effect that I liked the most, even though it looks stunning. My favorite setting was around [bokeh control level] 5 or 6, with [an aperture of] f/2. With that, I got the classic swirly bokeh but also plenty of detail in the background.

What would you advise Lomographers who want to try this lens?

Honestly, just go for it. It’s such a rewarding experience and totally different from those cold, sharp, clinical lenses.

What’s your favorite photo from this series and why?

My favorite is the one with the two people on the beach. I love the contrast of light and texture. You can almost feel the path they’re tracing.

You made this photo series in Brittany. Do you have favorite spots there for shooting photos?

My favorite spots in Brittany are the town of Quintin and its pond. I also love Pointe du Roselier in Plérin, where you get an amazing view of the sea, and the town of Binic, which has a really beautiful and welcoming port.

Do you have any upcoming projects you’d like to share with us?

I’m still growing my social media to connect and work with brands. I’m also working as a screenwriter on a new series, and I hope it bring it to the life soon. Thanks again for the trust. I really loved collaborating with you — your team is fantastic!

In the near future, you can wish me to keep landing gigs so I can fully live my passion. And further down the line, you can wish me to direct a film—of course, with some shots taken on the Petzval.
