Hi, Devi! It’s great to have you here at Lomography! Please tell us about yourself.
I'm a photographer from Jakarta, Indonesia, focusing on pre-wedding photography. I like capturing love stories in serene, timeless, and minimalistic compositions.
Do you have any film photographers that you look up to?
I look up to Elliott Erwitt for sure.
What it’s like to be you? How do you spend your week?
It feels like living in a whirlwind of creativity, deadlines, and a touch of chaos. Planning, preparing for shoots, shooting days, and editing.
What is it like to be a photographer in Jakarta?
Being a photographer in Jakarta means embracing chaos and creativity in equal measure. It’s about finding beauty in the unexpected.
How did you like shooting with the LomoApparat? What do you like most about it?
Shooting with the LomoApparat was an exciting and creative experience since I haven’t used a film camera for eight years. I love all its features including its compact body, wide angle lens, built in flash and its filters.
You went to Japan while testing the LomoApparat. What was your favorite thing about the trip and the culture?
I’ve been to Tokyo several times for photo trips, but Tokyo always remains the most comfortable city, and every corner has something unique.
You also went to Copenhagen. Do you have a favorite photo from this trip?
Copenhagen is a vibrant blend of modern design and history. Charming canals, colorful buildings, and iconic landmarks, good design, bike-friendly streets, an eco-conscious mindset.

Can you tell us about what you decided to shoot with the LomoApparat? What do you think about the results?
The wide-angle lens captured the perfect city scape, streets, and architecture. The grain and slightly muted tones. It feels nostalgic and organic, contrasting beautifully with the modernity of the subject.
Do you have a favorite photo taken with the LomoApparat?
The scene resembles the iconic view of the railway tracks crossing over a canal, surrounded by mid-rise buildings and modern architecture, which is characteristic of central Tokyo.

What did you decide to shoot with the LomoChrome Metropolis film ?
I shot everything that caught my eye around me during the trip, alleyways and city corners.
What do you like most about the LomoChrome Metropolis?
Its moody, cinematic feel. It transforms everyday scenes into something extraordinary with its desaturated tones and muted colors.
What do you think is the perfect situation for shooting this camera?
It’s perfect for traveling through neighborhoods and creating artistic, nostalgic photos.
What is one thing you have been dying to explore further (anything from a place to a particular subject)? What is your dream project?
Visiting Tibet and making a photography project there.
Any messages to other Lomographers out there?
Keep embracing the art and beauty of analogue photography!
