Gallery: The World in Metropolis
3 13 Share TweetWe've seen many cities across the world be transformed with the LomoChrome Metropolis film since its launch in 2019. With its distinct desaturated look combined with bright popping colors, the LomoChrome Metropolis definitely completes Lomography's diverse line of color-shifting film stocks.
In this gallery, we're sharing a few photos from our community members taken with this classic Lomography film stock!
The LomoChrome Metropolis–hence the name–is largely inspired by modern urbanism. No wonder one of the best ways to use this film stock is to capture street scenes and cityscapes.
Think of LomoChrome Metropolis, and you think about the rooftop views, bricked sidewalks and concrete buildings, whether it's in the busy commercial districts, quiet neighborhoods or historical alleys of any city in the world.
On their LomoHomes our community members have uploaded and shared hundreds of thousands of these photos, giving us glimpses of their own cities and countries with a LomoChrome twist. Sometimes exploring the different formats (LomoChrome Metropolis is available in which are 120, 110 and 35 mm ) or sometimes conducting experiments such as film soups and multiple exposures.
Meanwhile, in our own Online Magazine, we've invited many artists who have expressed their creativity through this film stock in different ways, such as Architect Aitor Estévez's multiple exposures with the LomoChrome Metropolis 120.
While the LomoChrome Metropolis is known for being paired with busy city scenes, we've also seen it used outside of its comfort zone through film experiments, nature photography and more.
Here's to many more years and more metroscapes with the LomoChrome Metropolis!
