Hello Phạm Lã Hoài Sang! Please tell us about yourself and how you started your analogue journey?
I started taking film photos through friends and I like old things. I work as a petroleum tanker surveyor.
How would you describe your style of photography?
I like to photograph gentle things, such as mountain scenes, flowers, lakes, seas, sunshine, sunrises, sunsets.
What kind of gear do you mostly use?
Currently I am using a Nikon F2 camera.
Where did you go to shoot these photos?
It's the rainy season where I live so the weather is not nice. I didn't take the photos exactly like I planned. I took a leave of absence to go to the beach and take pictures.
What features did you like most about the Lomography Color Negative ISO 400 and LomoChrome Metropolis ISO 100-400 film?
I liked the Color Negative ISO 400 film better than LomoChrome Metropolis. The colors of Color Negative ISO 400 film are more harmonious. Shooting is more stable. As for LomoChrome Metropolis, the color is a bit pale and a bit magical.
Which is your favorite photo from this series and why?
I like the photo taken at the beach with four people standing together. The colors were so beautiful and harmonious, everyone complimented my photo. I think Lomography Color Negative ISO 400 film is very suitable for shooting with the sea and sunshine.
What's the film photography scene in Vietnam like at the moment?
Currently, Vietnam is trending towards film photography quite a lot. The film community in Vietnam is growing. But recently film has become expensive so buying film is limited.
Anything else you'd like to share with the Lomography community?
The Lomography community is amazing. I have seen many beautiful sights in the world and the Lomo colors are so beautiful. It's very artistic, and worth experiencing and using for everyone. I will try to take a lot more beautiful photos. Thank you very much.
