The First Annual Northwest Film Fest: Event Recap
1 4 Share TweetThis past July, the Seattle Film Club organized and hosted the first annual Northwest Film Fest. Bringing together film photography enthusiasts from across the region for a weekend filled with creativity and learning, it was Seattle's largest film photography event of the summer.
Alongside a plethora of organizations at the event such as our friends at Glazer's Camera and Beers & Cameras, we took to the West Coast to participate with a LomoGraflok photo booth, behind-the-scenes shots captured by event goers with our Simple Use Cameras, as well as a couple of giveaways so that some lucky Lomographers could go home with a piece of the film filled day.
The two-day long festival began with the main event at Myrtle Edwards Park, followed by an after-party at Here Today Brewery & Kitchen.
The following day's itinerary included a "Coffee & Cameras" meetup at Zeitgeist Coffee, a ferry ride with Ferries on Film, and a wrap up party with Beers and Cameras Seattle at Holy Mountain Brewery Interbay.
The day was made up of hands-on workshops, photowalks, happy hours, and more unique activities in celebration of film photography.
"Our goal was to kick off the largest film photography event in the Northwest, while creating an inclusive space for film lovers to connect, learn, and inspire each other. We’re excited to continue growing this community in the region and we can't wait for next year's event," representatives of the Seattle Film Club said.
We'd like to thank the folks over at the Seattle Film Club for organizing the gathering. If you're interested in keeping up with future events, make sure to check out our community calendar!
