Gallery: Fashion and Street Portraits with the Lomo'Instant Wide Glass
3 Share TweetThe Lomo'Instant Wide Glass shows all that is possible with the instant format. With an upgraded glass lens that gives an even sharper and more accurate rendering of colors, this camera is perfect to take to the streets and for those who love capturing all things fashion.
Just like the original Lomo'Instant Wide, the new glass version has a variety of shooting modes. First, it has automatic mode, where the camera will determine the required aperture, shutter speed, and flash. There is also bulb mode, where the shutter will remain open as long as the shutter release button is pressed. And there is the fixed shutter mode, which keeps the shutter at 1/30 – great for when you do not want ambient light to have a big effect on the exposure of your flash photography. This mode is also useful for when you want to connect an external flash, especially for studio lighting.
With the Lomo'Instant Wide Glass, a fixed aperture mode has also been added to further enhance your creativity possibilities. Keeping the camera at f/22, it allows you to achieve a greater depth of field and a longer exposure time. This mode will allow you to be quick in capturing those street fashion-type guerrilla photos but at the same time, it can also be good for when you want to play around with instant photography in a more controlled space.
For more creative street and fashion photos, playing around with the Multiple Exposure (MX) feature and the Splitzer attachment will allow you to put together different elements within one instant photo. With the 62 mm × 99 mm of each Instax photo mixed with these features, you can pack a lot into one print.
For more studio-based fashion work, the Lomo'Instant Wide Glass has an attachment for an external flash, tripod mount, external remote, and exposure compensation. For those wanting to get the 90s-00s fashion shots with a bright flash, you can add + 1 to the exposure compensation to achieve that classic effect. For those wanting to get more natural portrait shots without overexposure, you can apply -1 to the exposure compensation and use the tripod mount to get a super clean and precise headshot portrait. Using all the features combined, this camera is perfect for studio work!
The Lomo'Instant Wide Glass is an exciting new offering from Lomography. Combining the best features of all our Instant cameras, it is perfect for those wanting to take their instant photography to new heights!
