Hi Handi! It’s great to have you here at Lomography! Please tell us about yourself and what you do.

Hi! First of all my name is Handi and I'm a photographer. I mainly shoot weddings and I am based in Jakarta under my brand name Ephemere. I have a big interest in fashion, landscape photos , film (of course!) and connections and emotions from people.

How do you describe your photography? Do you have any film photographers that you look up to?

My main goal is to allure people with my minimalist, elegant, also timeless photos. I look up to Ramone for wedding things and Ivan Troyanovsky for portrait.

How do you normally spend your week?

It's kind of adventurous and complicated because I have so many things on my hands right now! I'm a little bit busy because wedding season is coming and I also spend time updating my website and editing for my recent work.

What is it like to be a full time photographer in Indonesia?

Becoming a full time photographer in Indonesia is kind of tricky! You need to set your mind to be ready to do this thing.

You mainly take portraits in your work. What do you consider most important when taking portraits?

Their emotion and how you can capture it to make people feel something.

What's your favorite thing about analogue photography?

It's timeless. The color is already perfect and it's grainy. Also, it challenges you!

How did you like shooting with the Lomography Color Negative 800 120 ? What do you like most about it?

Oh I'm in love with this film! The color when it hits golden hour, and the details. Also good grain. This film totally versatile to shoot for golden hour and sunset moments!

Can you tell us about what you decided to shoot with the Lomography Color Negative 800 120? What do you think about the results?

I did a fashion photography shoot. The result was amazing and it really gives you an old nostalgic feel. The grain of the film can also add a unique aesthetic and give the image a dreamy feel. It's just what I aim for!

Do you have a favorite photo taken with this film?

It's kind of blurred but it also has an emotion to it. It makes you wonder. Also the grain is so nice to me.

You also tried the LomoChrome Metropolis 120 film. What did you like most about it?

It is trippy for sure. The red feels so strong in this film, vibrant and high contrast.

I preferred Lomography Color Negative 800 more, maybe because contrast not really my thing, or maybe just because it was my first time using this one. I tried to use it in direct light and back light to see how the photos would turn out.

Tell us about some of the current projects you are working on. Do you have anything in particular you are looking forward to?

My current project right now is my main work, shooting weddings.

What is one thing you have been dying to explore further (anything from a place to a particular subject)? What is your dream project?

My dream project is maybe going to Tibet and doing some landscape and portraits, or fashion perhaps.
